There are three instrumentals only on this CD. However, a dulcimer (mine) is played on every cut. Nan plays dulcimer on almost all cuts except when she plays autoharp. Madge Moore wrote "How I Love That Mountain Music". Sherry Cook Stanforth wrote "Hand-Me-Downs".

Bonny Brave Boys

Traditional and contemporary ballads and airs performed on vocals, harp, cello, guitar, bodhran and whistle. Features Border Lord's most inspired and subtle artistry, captured live by Chulrua's prodoucer and audiophile Tim Britton, who also joins in on flute and whistle, Chulrua's guitarist/vocalist Pat Egan is also featured.

Celtic Spirits

Celtic Spirits is a collection of melodies performed on mountain dulcimer and flute, interspersed with a few short Cheltic-Style blessings. This recording features Linda on mountain dulcimer and flute, joined by Lisa Odena on selected dulcimer duets. Original Celtic-Style blessings written and read by Debbie Freeman. "Nancy" and "O'Carolan's Concerto" were arranged by Neil Gaston. The 2nd part of "Ashgrove" was arranged by Jerry Rockwell.

Description:
Like the quiet existance of those who inhabit Appalachia, multi-instrumentalist Rick Brockner faithfully preserves the tradition of "mountain music" as a way of life he came to know while weaned and raised in his native North Carolina.
