Retreat is held at the music building of Sam Houston State University.  RV parks are near by.  The University Hotel is just across the street and most attendees stay there.  There will be mountain duclimer workshops, HD workshops, and Guitar.  Open mike, Big Concert, Vendors, and LOTS OF JAMMING.

This event takes place in the Terrace Hotel, at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. It is in the temperate southern mountains of North Carolina, about an hour from Knoxville, Tennessee, and about 3 hours from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Lake Junaluska is close to I-40. Jam sessions and classes for beginner/novice, intermediate, advanced, and for bowed dulcimer players.  Host instructors Larry and Elaine Conger.  Other instructors include Joe Collins, Don Pedi, Will Peebles, Anne Lough, Jim Miller and Marsha Harris.

Held on a 322-acre plot of mined-over phosphate land just south of Homeland, the Alafia River Rendezvous is a 13-day pre-1840 living history encampment where participants/reenactors set up and live in camps portraying and demonstrating life skills of various Early American cultures, i.e.; British, Irish, Scottish, Spanish and Native American.

At last years gathering, over 1000 lodges were set up housing well over 1600 people. Traders Row was host to well over a hundred traders selling everything from kettle corn to tents to firearms and knives, to beads and sarsaparilla to skins and period clothing of all sorts.

Held at Mitchell RV Park in Perrin, Texas (about 60 miles northwest of Ft. Worth) for a four day jam, food fest, and friendship get together.  Music, music and more music, indoors if the weather is bad or outside under the trees if it's warm enough.  This is our 6th year to host this festival.  Your only cost is to stay at the park, either in your RV or one of their beautiful cottages.  We jam all day and pot-luck each night so bring food to share and tune up those strings & come join us !!!

There are cabins on the grounds and plenty of RV hookups and motels down the road.

A festival of workshops for the Hammered and Mountain Dulcimer. FEATURING:  Christie Burns (HD) & Bing Futch (MD) Mountain and Hammered Dulcimer Workshops: There will workshops to challenge every level of play and late afternoon jams to apply your latest skills and energize you.

• Friday evening open jam/open stage for early arrivers (7:00pm).
• Saturday begins with registration, tuning, coffee, tea, etc., at 8:00am and culminates with an evening concert at 7:00pm.

This event will be held in the greater Atlanta area at the Avondale Estates First Baptist Church.  There will be a Hammered Dulcimer workshop 10:00 - 4:30 and a concert by Ken at 7:30.  This event is sponsored by the Southeastern Hammered Dulcimer Players (SEHDP).

Held at 5130 Overseas Highway in Key West.  15 of the best players of mountain and hammered dulcimers will present workshops and concerts at the Hurricane Hole Marina.  Only 200 registrations available!

Held at the Historic Hilltop House Hotel.
Intensive weekend featuring short two-hour workshops in traditional fiddle styles including Scottish, Cape Breton, Shetland, Irish, French Canadian, Old Time, Cajun, Scandinavian, New England and Swing, plus Dance Band Workshops in several different styles and a class on Backing up Fiddle Tunes for the Hammered Dulcimer. The retreat takes place in a relaxed, retreat setting at the Historic Hilltop House Hotel in Harpers Ferry, WV. Saturday night Contra Dance with TBA calling to the open band with festival staff leading the band as well as jam sessions for all.
