Whispering waters is just outside Hastings Michigan, about 30 miles north and 20 miles east of Kalamazoo. In keeping with the spirit of the canal era, Historic Roscoe Village is bringing the sights, sounds and traditional crafts of the 1800s to you during the 23rd Annual Heritage Craft & Olde Time Music Festival featuring the Coshocton Art Guild Show and Sale.
Roscoe has combined three festivals (Olde Time Music, Ring of the Anvil, and the Art Show) so the true essence of our canal heritage may be illustrated and guest can experience one special weekend filled with music, traditional crafters and art exhibits.
Watch as the blacksmith's anvil rings; as the weaver spins wool; as the carver creates a spoon from a stick; and as an array of heritage crafters demonstrate and sell their traditional, handmade wares. Listen as the sound of bluegrass and old-time music drifts through the air and the strings of the fiddle lure you in. Hone your musical skills by participating in the hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, fiddle, guitar and banjo workshops or let your competitive side show as you compete in the flat-picking guitar contest. Additional festival activities include exhibits, sales and jam sessions.
